Independence day drive!!

Had a short and sweet drive on the independence day.
Once again the uneventful destination was the 5 star family restaurant in Hosur. Now that I visited this place for the 3rd or 4th time and am writing about it for the 2nd time, most people would be thinking that there must be something really happening about this place.
But sorry to shatter your hopes.. nothing like that. It is just a cheap highway hotel, which serves dosa/idli/vada and coffee.
But it has become a destination of choice because of its distance. It makes for an Ideal short drive of about 100kms one way. When you have time to kill and fuel to burn, this is the best place to go.

This time our trip to mysore was abruptly cancelled. So to makup for it, we decided to do another breakfast ride. this time in the car. And we enjoyed it to the hilt. The road was as usually very very inviting. Pushed tthe car to its limits. And came to know that it is not advisable to drive an esteem above 110kmph speeds. At 130, it starts to lift from the ground, which is very dangerous. THe best speed to enjoy the drive is 100kmph.

The funny thing is that we missed the U turn to get back to Karnataka and eneded up on the toll booth. We then had to request the guy to let us turn back without paying as we had no intentions on going to Chennai or anywhere further past that toll booth. To our utter surprise, he agreed and let us backup and take the u turn and go back.

That was fun. A rather uneventful drive and unfortunately we forgot our cam. So no pics either.

But hey!! The RTMC 5th anniversary ride is coming up. That is going to be one helluva experience... And surely going to be accompanied with a lot of pics......
